Would guess that would be SpeedFreakDave's car.

Had a run against him at the last VMax. Left my 997 for dead...

That would be my car! I work in knightsbridge and its nicer than getting the bus

Its not a factory standard car, its upgraded by Specialist Cars of Malton to how they believe the RS should be had Porsche ever made a GT2 RS. I just wanted something different.

The engine has been remapped and the airbox and air filters upgraded so it chucks out 550bhp and the induction noise is immense. The exhausts have been modified too. The bodywork you can see was change mainly to colour code matching and some grills but wheels have been changed to 19" techarts. Interior has been modified too in various ways, mainly more ali pack, dials sills, steering wheel, fire extinguisher, alloy roll cage (like clubsport option really)...so has full racing harness etc.....I think thats about it, I use it each day to go to work and I do my shopping in it and its my weekend toy too.....did vmax couple of weeks ago, it was very fast from a standing start, my vmax maybe could have been more if I had of stopped arsing round in the bend trying to make it slide, but it was fun and I met some good people.

No there can't be many about, a handful if that, they do a 650bhp version which they have for sale at the moment, looks nice. Look out for a guy on here called JonnyWishBone.....he's the guy who does them all.

This going to be strange, but have you ever tried to sell it, or only bought it recently?

I was watching 'Skint' a programme about people on the dole, and there was one kid who went over to a car showroom window, and in it was a car really not dissimilar to yours, with the GT2 RS down the side.

Never heard of that before, so nice to know its a real car, and not someone with some extra stickers!

I bought it recently and have a rough idea of what previous owners paid....it comes with a new gearbox too which is handy, just debating whether to swap my ceramics in for alcons. I guess it may be an unusual one to sell, but I can't see me selling it. I kicked around the idea of buying a GT3 for ages, I considered a new one too (RS looks awesome) but you loose quite a bit quickly and that doesn't appeal to me. I have a few bits I want to get sorted to make it 100% mint, need to find a decent bodyshop in the london area as have a tiny dent above the passenger window.

Its seems to outpace a lamborghini murcielago too which I like beer but the RUF GT2 is faster!

I watched 'skint' also, saw the car and thought it looked like one I had seen on pistonheads recently......

Do you have any pics of the RUF? I don't know much about it.

Yeah my car was in a show room in birmingham.....fortunately via a friend I managed to deal directly with the owner as it was on SOR and the guy at the garage advertised it like a muppet as LHD so he got no interest.....a result!

Yeah nice looking car Dave, it must be nice to have something genuinely different and goes like a rocket. I thought it may be someone from this site as you dont have that car and not frequent the most popular porsche forum surely... ha ha

Maybe you and francis can have a tear up at Vmax if he ever finishes which seems like a life long project im sure!

Hi Dave, for the dent in the roof use Dentmaster or dentdevils, unless it is in an inpossible place they will take it out no problem approx £50.

Regards Mark.
