I read with interest the postings re the Tuscan driver who was jailed. I also read the thread recently about the most stupid thing you have done in which a number of people contributed to.

Now its obvious the driver of the Tuscan was irresponsible and its horrific to hear of the injuries sustained as a result of such idiotic behaviour.

But as so many will admit, including myself, we do occasionally have momentary lapses of concentration or simply moments of madness. Usually these diminish as one becomes more mature, sometimes they may not. Either way, these may have ended in more tragic circumstances than a few bent panels and a joke down the pub that night with your mates.

Please do not think I condone driving of this nature. I do not. The manoeuvre he was undertaking was stupid, especially in a car that he did not own and therefore was not used to the handling/power etc etc. In a test drive, whilst you want to be aware of the capabilities of a car, you do not push it to the limit because you do not know where that limit lies. The bloke was wrong and he is paying the price.

I agree that I would not want people to consider the sports car drivers are representative of this man's behaviour, but by the same token I read things like this and take it as a lesson.

It's called being "human" IIRC...

Agreed.
