Last couple of time out in the Griff, I've parked it up and pressed the immobiliser, the lights flash and the locks click but the drivers side door makes a god awful drilling noise for a few seconds then stops. Thought it might have been a tiny stone in the lock (Which I found when I looked) but removing it has made no difference. Door still locks hence haven't really worried too much. Any clues?

have a butchers behind the trim. it's held down with velcro behind the seat. Sounds like it has become a tad rusty (squirt some WD40 in there whilst popping the remote), or, it has moved a bit and is locking just on the limit, see if your lock plate is loose

Sounds like the door pin switch is not operating properly and the solenoid in the locking mechanism is getting an intermittent signal, hence the chatter.

Had it on my Griff and changed the pin switch. Sometimes the rubber pad is missing and the pin is not fully depressed.
