I took these with the 'shape' compo in the back of my mind, which one should I choose, and also what do you think?

5 is my favourite. i like the others but for some reason they dont inspire me like 5 does. maybe they are a bit bland for my taste (or maybe its because i have jsut come out of an exam and my brain is frazzledwobble)

number two works for me - were you selective with the colour of background to subject?

it's just me, but i'd like to see it naturally uniform all over.

still very nice indeed.

#2 for shape. IMHO would have been better with shallower depth-of-field.

#5 as a photo overall.

Don't like the flash shaddow in 5. Prefer the colour and comp in 6.

I would use 2. Have you played with the red and green sliders in the monocrome settings to pump up the contrast differences in the b/w shot? Could make a huge difference to its impact.

Lisa here... I wasn't selective of the colour, I just desaturated the original which was coloured like number one, and did hue saturation to get the sepia effect

Only have a point and squirt so to speak so I didn't have much hand in it

I like number 6 (the last one). The light is really warm on it. Very nice indeed.
