How about a widget that mounts somewhere on the bike, which tells you your max lean angle attained after a ride? Could be good for bragging in the pub, and just monitoring your cornering improvement. (i suppose knee sliders are the ultimate give away)

Perhaps some sort of safety device? Tyre pressure sensor or tyre temperature detector. I think BMW already have tyre pressure sensors though so thats not unique.

Tyre temp sensor...An Infra red type as a non contact reading is needed...Gotta be a piece of piss to build too...

You have a monitoring device, its called the size of your chicken strips!

Getting your knee down on the road means sweet FA, I never do and my tyres are worn right to the edge front and rear, hero blobs on the pegs are about fubar'd too!

Got one, Tyrewatch. Only make sure it's fixed in the cradle properly before showing off. 15 seconds between it flying off & some burke running over it! furious

The Pan Euro has something like that: it turns the fuel off if you exceed 50 degrees

I have always wanted a little blue tooth ear piece linked to a gps speed camera warning device
(like a road pilot) Just bleeps, no synthetic voices...

1. A device which makes you invisible to the police

2. A device which amends all surrounding speed limits to infinity, should 1. fail.

3. An invisible forcefield surrounding bike and rider so that no harm can be applied by other road users.

4. A self righting device that detects when the bike is about to go down, and restores the equilibrium.

5. A device which allows maximum rear slip angle with minimum of effort, MotoGP stylee.

I think that just about covers it...

Sounds lethal! Surely if your lent over and there's a sudden cut in throttle the front would load up and you'd go down anyway?!

Some kind of Hair dryer that dries and warms the road in front of you...would have been most welcome this morning.

You wouldn't be able to lean a pan euro past 50 deg without falling off, not enough ground clearance!

You can get bluetooth gps kit with beeps! for bikes, can find the link but have seen them out there, I like Exige's suggestions, would suit me down to the ground

I think some missed the irony of Wedgie's post.

Personally, the gadgets I'd like are

Waterproof clothing, that is!
Aircond summer leathers

i think air con leathers have already been done... unless i'm thinking of some datalogging gear (or other equipment) fitted into the speed hump.

I have to admit, i was watching dragons den last night after a few beers and i was trying to get an idea to make my million, cashing in on the weekend warriors and their disposable income.

I wasn't intending to be ironic: the ST1100 really DOES turn the fuel off past 50 degrees! As noted, you probably couldn't lean it that far anyway
The fuel pump turns off, but of course the carbs would still have fuel in, so it wouldn't suddenly die. The idea is that if you crash or the bike falls over (quite likely given the weight of the bas****!), it cuts the fuel.

The irony is that you don't make use of it unless you crash the bike

I can't imagine that would work if you reallly could lean it over at 50 degrees while riding though - centrifugal force would interfere. Only at standstill surely?

A FECK OFF big airhorn, for when dozy a$$wipes pull out in front of you! I taped one to my pushbike when I was a lad and used it to great effect, wish I'd have had a camera phone back then. Happy days.
