I don't post often but have to give a public thank you to Derek aka the gazman for sorting the suspension on the Cerb. I was having a few issues with ride height & set up at the back.
No fuss or quibbles, sorted the shocks, changed the springs for longer items and fitted improved bump stops, set it up and organized getting the geometry redone....result IT HANDLES!
...1st class customer aftersales service & quality kit, perhaps TVR could learn something.... now about my SP6 engine ;-)
BTW I have no personal or professional association with Derek or gaz, in fact I have never even met him!

Glad you're happy now, I have to say that I have never driven a car of that age with an original speed six engine that hadn't been rebuilt.
For 52k it wasn't that bad at all. Just shows you.
BTW, sorry about leaving the banana coloured MX-5 on your drive, your neighbours probably thought you had a new hairdresser girlfriend.

I wasn't having a go at blondes or hairdressers.
I have copped some stick for driving round in a bright yellow MX-5 while Trevor is getting some much needed fettling up at Ians in Middlewich and the general comment refers to girly hairdressers car etc etc.
So if the girls at Toni & Guy are reading this, I'm very sorry no number 1 cut please.
Changing subject quickly, it was interesting driving a really old speed 6 with no rebuild, it howled like a banshee with very little provacation and whilst I will always be a V8 person, if our friends currently going over the engine for Nic can get some longevity and reliability into this engine, I could be tempted in the future.

Well I like it even though the motor a bit tired ;-) but I think it would benifit further from decat pipes, sports exhaust or both then a session on the rollers. The worry with a slightly tired SP6 motor is it would let go on a full range power run on the dyno!
....But if I just had the cash I have just enough room on the drive to squeeze a 4.5 V8 Cerb next to the Impreza and the SP6 now about those lottery tickets!
