Advice needed please. I'm in the process of ordering a Cayman S in Basalt black. However, I've not seen the standard colour black in the flesh and have begun wondering, which is the better finish on the car. Is the Basalt black worth an extra £550?
Cheers,
Francis F

Definately. A black car is difficult to keep clean and will show some swirling, but a flat black exacerbates the situation.

Yes I would go for Basalt rather than the solid black because of scratches.

Basalt Black is a superb colour and definitely worth the extra.

However, I decided against it feeling it would be difficult to keep clean. As a compromise I chose Atlas Grey, which looks a kind of black but doesn't need as much polishing.

See - looks black
