Does anyone have any children that are the minimum legal height to not need a booster seat? 4'5"
And if so can they sit in the back of 911's for more than 5 mins ??

Thanks

We my sister drove my 911 997, I sat in the back behind her - she if 5'6" and I am 6'2" and whilst it wasn't that comfortable, it was certainly doable for 30 mins or more. I can't imagine a small child would have too many problems, even if the driver's seat is quite well back..............

If you will forgive a slightly more negative view ....

My wife and I did a couple of test drives of 997 coupes last month. She is just under 5'; I am around 6'4". (So, together, we're about average height .... ) Just out of interest, I tried sitting in the back, and rapidly concluded that I couldn't. More importantly, my wife found that, height-wise, she had *very* little spare headroom, to the extent that the slightly reduction caused by the sunroof actually made a difference. She also found the back seat extremely uncomfortable.

So, although I could not claim to have tried the rear seats with a child of around 4'5", our experience would lead me to believe that you would only have limited room for growth (perhaps as little as six inches or so) and that the decidedly poor comfort might also be a problem. If your child(ren) is/are that size now, the obvious suggestion is to try it out, of course.

I guess my long-term master plan of having found a wife who could fit in the back of a 911 when our baby gets to the point of having (or demanding) to go in the front wasn't so cunning after all .... But, that notwithstanding, I've ordered one anyway .... cloud9

I have two kids. one over the limit and one under and they love going in the back. For kids there is enough room in the back and if you have two they way the seats are actually keeps them apart and stops them from fighting!

I cant fit in the back but then why would I want to?

Watercooled 911s (996/997) far better than aircooled 911s.

Coupe much better than Cab, which has vertical backrests
