Hijacked Ebay account
Discussion
AAArghh!
Some swine hijacked my ebay account and started selling cars I don't own.
After minor panic, changed ebay, paypal and emaill passwords. Finiished all the auctions early, lukily none of the cars had been sold, lodged the complaint with ebay, couldn't find a phone numbet to ring so had to go through there livehelp system ( 30+ mins ) wait time. They then changed my password again .
What I really don't understand is how they expected to get make money from the deal, they selcted Paypal as the only method of payment
Can anyone enlighten me??

But would I not have the orginal money in my PayPal account, I don't see how they would get it?
Assuming this to be a criminal endavour and not a joke if they can't get the money what's the point
To get the money from paypal would they not have to connect up a bank account to "downlaod" the money.
Appolgies if I am seeming naive

No what I'm saying is it doesn't matter. After they have paid you and the robber took the money you would have nothing in your account.
Then the buyer would lodge the dispute, and win, then the money he paid would come straight from your credit card.
I've seen it happen before. There doesn't need to be any money in you paypal account, because as its linked to your credit card it just comes straight off there, same way if you were to pay someone with nothing in your paypal account.
