Replacement V8

chaps - excuse me wandering into the Griff forum with a Chim inquiry, but we do share the same engine blocks!

It's time for a 'new' engine for my 4L Chim.

For me, a 4.6L modestly tweaked is probably the ideal compromise for fast road use.

Any recommendations on a source - have looked at web sites of RPi, V8 Developments and others all of whom make an excellent presentation. However some personal experience/recommendation would be useful - I live in the North west.

Look no further than Rob Robertson(V8Racing on here).The man is a RV8 genius,great to talk to and deal with,and very fairly priced for what you get.
Whatever you do,when you compare prices make sure you compare specs and quality of all the components.

yup Mike is right, Rob (spalding) at V8D is great. I'm also very happy to recommend Castle Race Engines (Silverstone/Northampton).

TVR Power's supercharger conversion on your 4.0 sounds like what your looking for

Im getting a new one built by Rob currently and I got two independent experts to compare specs with another notable name in the field (shall we say) and Rob came out on top by far. Nice bloke too...if only he would read his emails

After lot of thought eventually decided on V8Developments 4.6 Stage lll - being fitted as I write, together with new clutch. Appreciate the input.

Have you considered an LS-series engine? Could be the way forward as parts and emissions start to make the RV8 unpopular.
