agreed, i can't see schumi racing again. with the stature he has in the sport, where exactly is he going to race? - nascar - no chance, he'd need to move away from switzerland to cope with the frenetic race schedule, he also thinks ovals are too dangerous, so that rules out IRL and Champ cars, DTM is a possibility, but he has already done this in the past, although I am sure money could be found for him as it would increase the profile of the series. i don't think the wtcc would interest him as the cars are too slow, and i can't see him going rallying either. I could see him doing the gp masters, but as he has to be 45 for that, he has some time to kill..
i think he'll stay as part of the fiat group, so that could mean racing maseratis at le mans, but in reality means the occaisional test of an f1 car and some development work on the road cars. He'll probably do some karting for fun.
I Call he will do a Prost, have a years break then return to a front running team that has political links to his nationality as Williams did with Prost when they where supported Renault and ELF. By this I mean he has or will sign with BMW which convinently aquired a team the same year Michael announces his retirment. BMW's gesture with their rear wings lends furthur support to my theroy.

Because he was a Mercedes Protoge, I think he will want to bring them up, just like he did Ferarri, and I can't believe he can leave yet, he's still tooo good.

To be fair, he was good yesterday - particulary passing Raikkonen - but he also got some very easy passes. I guess no-one wanted to be the guy who punted Schumacher off on his last race.
Also, I thought the Bridgestone engineers reckoned the puncture was caused by Rosberg's accident, rather than Fisi's wing?

I would say that's a bit tenuous - the rear-wing message was to thank him for the benefits he's brought to German business over the years. I do think there's a small chance he'll return in a year or two with another team, but I think it's 99% that he'll stay in the Ferrari group in some way (consultant/advisor) therefore he won't be able to change allegiance and drive for someone else.

Why? He can't drive for Ferrari 'cos of Kimi and Massa. I really think there's more chance of Ron Dennis deciding that he's been wasting his time on the pit wall all these years and should get in the No. 2 McLaren next season and show Alonso how to do it....

God we were robbed of the Mansell, Senna, Schumacher wars in mid 90's. Ya Alonso and Kimi are good but not in leage of these three (well Fernando probably is). Be interesting to see how Kimi rises to Massa threat now - christ he is rocking now. Top Guy - Pumped and on Bridgestones all this time.

Over the last couple of races, something in this guy's head just seems to have clicked into place. I've always maintained that he'd come good, but just recently he's been doing even better than I would've imagined !
Now, with Michael having retired
, the door is wide open for him. Yes, Kimi will be quick, but it will take him a while to settle into the team, by which time Felipe will have a'massa'ed (sorry ! 
) a comfortable points lead.
As for Alonso - well, he's never really been that great a driver, seemingly winning most of his races through the misfortune of others. Certainly in my opinion not deserving of one world title, let alone two !
You may think that this is the biased statement of a hardcore Schumi fan, but before you all jump down my throat, let me just say that had the previous two years title fights been Schu against Kimi, for example, I would've happily applauded Kimi for beating Schumi to it. The difference being that I respect Kimi as a driver, and think he has put years of hard work into trying to win the title, and thouroughly desrves to win one. Or two. Alonso meanwhile, seems to have just sat back, cruised around, and watched the title land in his lap.
