had my peter morgan insection done by his colleague Gordon. He basically said the car will need a clutch soon, the windscreen resealing, the front disks have 3mm left on them plus 2 wheels need to be refurbed. I reckon 2k min as i will service the car as well as I will have just bought it etc. Gordon said that it had a fantastic engine and was a very clean example which will become an excellent example when i do these bits and bobs.
How much do u guys reckon? i reckon 2-3k. AM thinking about soending more on the car now instead as it will be easier to get one that doesnt need these things.
Views pleas readers! Car is a 993 c4

I guess it depends how much of that the seller claims has already been factored into the price. I think I read on another thread on here to budget around £800 for a new clutch. Wheels refurbs needn't be expensive - £75 a wheel, maybe. Not sure about the brakes and I'm sure resealing the windscreen can't be too expensive.
(If all else fails, and assuming your insurance covers it, you can probably get a replacement screen fitted subject to the £50 excess. You may have to "assist" it in developing a chip that means it needs replacing, if you catch my drift :koff: )
Offer him £2K less than his asking price and tell him that's your bottom line.
