New Griff owner - fan control reversed ?

Just collected the new baby yesterday (in the pouring rain so no fun to be had) and all seems well.
Just one small thing I noticed, the manual says the fan heater control increases fan speed as you turn it clockwise - mine does the reverse - when it clicks on it appears to be at full speed, and slows down the more I turn it clock wise - is this right ?
How come the windscreen demist works better on the passenger side - Jackie could see perfectly and the drivers took longer to clear. Is this normal Griff behaviour ?

Hi Alex,turning the fan speed knob clockwise should increase the fan speed,not vice versa.(reversed connections somewhere,like the control pot?)
I cant recall preferential de-misting from one side of the windscreen,but this wouldn't surprise me,as the source of the air for the blower is on the passenger side.The blower ducting can be improved a little by checking all the ducting is in place(it can often be found detatched) and sealing all joints with tape or silicone.
