Dunno about the spec or price but I have nothing but praise for the dealer - bought my first pork from them.

Not bad as OPC still charge £60k+, but highish miles and no Chrono pack. I would get them to knock a grand off so you can renew warranty in Feb......GO FOR IT they are FAB cars....Can't stop driving mine driving

On my second 997 and highly recommend them. However, this one looks a bit over priced and the spec is not great. Don't shoot me for this as I may be wrong but as far as I can remember:

- Xenon is standard
- PCM is standard
- PSM and PASM are standard on Carrera S versions
- CD changer and Climate control are standard

Hate it when dealers quote standard equipment as a major selling point...!!

To justify that price from an Indie I'd be looking for at least:
- BOSE Sound (that might be what they mean by Sound pack but make sure)
- Electric seats/sunroof
- Park Assist
- Sports exhaust
- Sport Chrono Pack (Plus version)
- Cruise control
- Heated seats
- etc etc

There are several 997s at the 57-65k range that are much better equipped with lower mileage. I'd pass on this one.

Also, a word of caution - black cars permanently look dirty and SportDesign wheels are impossible to keep clean. My first 997 was Lapis blue with SportDesign and I changed to Arctic Silver with Carrera S wheels.

Just my thoughts.

Jonboy - think of it like this.. for about another £18K you can get a brand new one! You can spec it exactly how you want it and no-one else has had there hands on it. Plus, more importantly, it hasnt been driving round a track every weekend for the last year.

I was in the same position as you 4 months ago and did the rounds with the dealers on second hand ones. I could not find one that I liked 100% and as I was still talking about £60K I thought b*llocks to it and splashed out the extra cash on a new one.

Good luck!

Plus, as Finn correctly says, black cars do always look dirty. Mine is only a week old and looks filthy - but I like it..
