just been on to kwik fit to try and do tracking for my 987 boxster s. i've called three different branches, (all in west london). two are positive that they cannot do tracking on new style porsches. the third one said the'd give it a try!!!
porsche want £325 to do tracking, and finished the conversation by saying that the minute you go over a speed hump, the tracking could go again!!
great!!

I had sportcontact 2's on rear, now I have sportcontacts on rear and sportcontacts 2's on the front. I think I'll dump them for assemetrico's.. Were they the OE tyres on MK1????
Yes, and so were the Bridgestone SO2As
Probably easier to find the SO2As than the N3 Assimetricos (nb, these are NOT the same as the N4 Rossos) which have been discontinued for some time now.

Pirellis would be my preferred choice. Rossos on a 996.

Just replaced the rears on my GT3, all the vibrations (that feel like an out of balance tyre but aren't) have returned, along with the horrible drumming noise on smooth surfaces at speed.
Both the above "afflictions" had disappeared when the tyres had worn to their legal limit.
As James Hunt once commented " I wouldn't park my boat up against a set of Pirellis"
Truly cr*p tyres.
