Has anyone had any experience or can recommend a company who can repair a v. small chip on my windscreen. It is almost in eye line and with MOT due in a few days, I suspect I need to get it done before.
With thanks

I had a couple of chips in my New Beetle windscreen (1998 before they were avaialble here) and the local Dent-Wizzard guy used a similar product to chipsaway to "fix" it.

Did the trick , but eventually failed and tore the wiper blade that side.

IMHO get a new screen on the insurance if you can.

Park in front of house and do some careless DIY resulting in needing replacement windscreen ( roof tile fell on it, hammer head broke off handle etc).

You could probably get it replaced via insurance anyway as it is already damaged and will probably fail the MOT unless it is repaired/replaced.

Get a small stone off the ground, and a hammer. Selotape the stone to the windscreen, and hit it with the hammer. Then get some cloth, and press hard on it somewhere between the two stone'chips'. Give it a week and there'll be a crack. Works for company car maintenence anyhow.
