Norton anti-virus and system works
Discussion
I have alwyas run Norton systemworks and anti virus (now called internet security) on my PC.
I bought a new PC which came pre-loaded with the anti-virus but now the subscription has expired.
I already have systemeworks Premier 2005 on CD which I bought for the old PC.
Norton want £50 to renew, plus £12 if I want the CD's rather than the download. I have another PC and a lap top on a wireless network so this could get quite expensive at £50 a throw. Dabs do a 5 user version of the anti-virus for £115.
I get around 30 emails a day from Symantec telling me they have blocked a virus (mainly phsing) and I have been more than happy with both products but I notice that they have unbundled the various programs and now offer them seperately. I did think about just taking out the virus protection and carrying on running my old Systaemworks Premier rather than subscribe to both.
Any ideas on how to do this at the least expensive option?
Or this? 5 user upgrade for about £90 all in.

I'm sure someone will tell you about all the free software you can get but...
I'm too have always used Norton, it may be expensive and slow the computer down a bit but I've never had a problem when using it, and it goes about it's business without requiring me to do anything (major plus point!). I can't say the free stuff I tried was as good!
I would buy that multi-computer pack, since you have 3 PCs? The Systemworks 2005 will have expired by now and I would think is virtually useless. Depending if you have any subscription left on the other machines, you can get a single copy of Internet security for about £41 from eBuyer.

I run a business from my machines so it has to be right. I have downlaoded the free stuff in the past but I have to be sure it it bag up to date without me having to check for that on a daily basis, so Norton does the trick. I think I may buy the upgrade as I have the virus checker on all of the machines ( it is just out of date on the lap top and one which was a standalone until we went wirless 2/3 weeks ago). It just seems that the cost of renewing a Norton subscription goes up and up ( I am sure it used to be £15 a year).
