As am luck enough to be a mile from a Shell Garage have been using this recently. I know it replaces Optimax but is it essentially the same? My chim certainly likes to drink it!

I've used Optimax and now V power. I think V power is pretty much the same and Optimax but 1 RON higher (99 RON). I have started using Tesco 99 which is much cheaper and seem to get a little more bang from it, without any apparent loss in fuel consumption (but who really cares how many MPG you get anyway!)

I have to agree with Tim. The Tesco stuff does seem
better (more so in my ST220)and is only 84p a litre.

I've had a clear 10% increase on mileage with Vpower - everything else the same - same with a friend with a 911.

I thought it stank when I filled up, but wondered whether this was just that they don't move enough volume. I tried one tank and thought I got an extra 20% MPG out of it, but second tank doesn't seem to support that.

Oh yes, it stinks alright! Optimax used to be a bit smelly but since I've started using V-Power in both my kit car and motorbike (which both share the same garage) the smell in the garage is dreadful. And thats bad news given the amount of time I spend in there.
