I keep having disturbing thoughts about buying another Chimaera. Even though I have an outstanding loan to pay off (for the Audi TT I once had).
I do want another, just not yet. Maybe in a year or two, as a weekend car.
Is there a "we can stop you buying a TVR" agency I can call for help?

hehe. The Merc is very nice and does what I want it to, but I long for the day when I can be back in something that matters on the weekends.
I do quite like the idea of buying a structurally sound 'shed' of a Chimaera (not yet), one that runs ok but is tatty, and slowly doing her up over the course of many years.
I'm just waiting for that 'big job' to come in so I can pay off this damn loan

You'll get no help from me as it was taking a test drive in yours that sold me on the marque
Mind you, you did sell it to someone else in an effort to save me
but I fell in the end

If you want an idea on what one of these looks like give me a shout sometime - it's the way I went in the end. Well perhaps 'shed' is a little harsh.

Ah reet, which fella were you then? I know the chap that I sold it to didn't have her long, I think he put a new cam in and had a repeat of the fuel supply problem that I'd had (and fixed, twice, at considerable expense). Hes sold it now to another chap who I believe has fettled her a bit more and shes now running even better.

You may or may not remember me, I came on the Friday afternoon and rang you with an offer on the night but you'd sold it to the guy in Liverpool. You nearly broke my unprepared neck when you accelerated down the mile road
