Apologies if this has come up before, but what jobs do people do to allow them to access PH at work?! This was something Mrs Fish mentioned at VW: I wish I could leave PH as my active desktop at work without being sacked immediately for Internet misuse.

And that's without even looking at any threads which mention Mungo..or THAT fancy dress photo.

They're pretty laid back here in the states. As long as you crank out a site a week they don't mind what you do!

Any job that involves sitting at a PC all day with free access to high speed internet access and the ability to hide PH behind multiple windows...

Aa was mentioned bt AndyTK. Student, but more importantly, studying a Computer course where you spend 99% of the course in rooms with a high speed network with a router and a nice large Internet Pipe

And as many know, I wasted my 2 year course browsing and gassing on here, instead of listening to, and taking in what my lecturers where saying. Hence why I am now a Labourer for a construction company!

It's all Teds fault! (Thats my story and I'm sticking to it )

I hate being a bloody student...

At 18 - I had my masterplan; do degree, get good degree, get job in IT circa £20k/year, get house, get TVR, get bird, marry bird, have kids, work a bit, die.

Now, at (a kick in the arse off) 22 it's; fail degree, repeat final year, only manage to get a pass at best, lose flab, get fit, join police, plod around for the next few years, get house, plod round for more years, get 4th hand TVR, worry about repair costs, get bird, get bird pregnant, worry, marry bird, work more and die.

(I can see myself working in halfords for a LONG time yet!)

Anyways, major digressing there - best job to sit and browse PH all day - (barring dole waller!) you have to start your own internet e-commerce company from home. That way you write off the T3 pipe as 'company expense', you are your own boss, register it in the Cayman Islands so you avoid the tax man and live a life of slobbish luxury!

I guess that pretty much wraps up the surf-u-like type of job! lol

I work in an advertising & marketing agency and although its a Mac I sit in front of it has all day broadband access and I can indeed hide PH behind multiple windows. although yesterday afternoon was a bit hairy as my studio boss caught me at it, luckily I had finished what work I had for the day otherwise I think I might have been in rather more trouble. I think I may have to be quite a lot more careful in my perusement of PH for a while.

seriously, I am a Project Manager in IT. Which means if I am not in a meeting, I am planning, which always allows me to flip to piston heads to check whats going on.

Im in Marketing for a Computer Telephoney Intergration company, PH sits open all day along with numerous other sites, have own office so no need to hide behind windows and as long as I churn out the odd piece of PR or write snotty e-mails to the Techy guys demanding to know where they all are i'm ok!

Mine's not too bad, but have to be careful as I'm in an office with 6 other people.

We should all work and sit at home all day on PH I reckon!

Me too. Got a Mac as well, and PH looks a lot better in Applevision than on a PC

Which agency? I work at what used to be Lowe Live in London.

Cheers
