Anyone tried fitting 360mm discs and 6pots to Chim / Griff?
Discussion
Not on mine - on the clone of mine I am helping chap build, already fitted Std rears with holes, going to have some biasing in the system to sort it! Does seem a tad big! Mine is fine with the 300's and AP6600's, but who am I to argue.
He has had a slow patch (lots on) but now sound like he wants it finished. Same ECU as mine so should be 380+ (having 4 small cats cos of local law').
Wheel are BONKERS priced 4 piece KINESIS 8x18". Again have pic's just not time and photobox is annoying the SH^t out of me - other hosting suggestions?

Never tried 360 's but....
Ive got 330mm AP Callipers and 4 pot Discs on the front of my Chimaera 500 and standard sized (drilled) rear discs and callipers.
And contary to recieved PH wisdom , i've never had any problems with brake balance or fronts locking up etc.
The Chim has done lots and lots of Track Days, and road use in wet and dry weather and the brake set up has been nothing other than excellent.
To take advantage of the big brake set up's i think you really need a bigger foot-print than that afforded by std tyre sizes , hence my Chim running 235 section front and 265 rear tyres.
No doubt those tasty 18" Kineseis wheels , will be wearing some appropriatley
wide rubber

Will post some pics later - Stopping power will be Nuts!!!
I hope you're doing the rears too! I'm fitting 300's and 4 pots later this week and expect that to be pretty decent. 360's will be daft. What size wheels are you going for?

Totally agree - my fronts are a tad bigger as on 16's (longer patch) and maybe wider?, with the 300 and no lockup problems, even on the Sprint I did for a laugh last year - mind I COULD easily lock them if I drove like a TW&T! . Think the width ar going to be similar to yours. I like the 245 rear and 225 combo. Don't want Too much grip - that would be DULL!!
