As you may or may not know this Sunday there is a run for the D&C TVRCC , they are keen for us to come along and share some ideas etc , it might be an idea to pop along to see how the land lies etc. It starts at Endsleigh garden centre next to the A38 at Ivybridge at 11am, I know that Duncan and Martin have already confirmed they'll be coming , the run culminates at the Halfway House Liskeard , if it's a non starter we can always go and do our own thing , up to you.....

Endsleigh Garden Centre?? Saltash Tunnel?? What happended to the Glassworks Did I miss something?

Sorry, couldn't resist. Aye, I'll be there alright, totally open minded and all that and will look forward to perhaps being proved wrong.

Otherwise, will be turning round for another sharp blast back through the Tunnel before you can say "Vive (sp) Le Splinter Group!".

See you all there chaps

Incorrigible - pop down to Plymouth Sunday morning - Endsleigh Garden CEntre is only 40 min blast down the M5 / A38. THen you can hook up for a thrash around the DEvon/Cornwall roads.

Go on, make an excuse! Let us know if you want directions..

If I've earned sufficient points by then I'll be there (looking doubtful I'm afraid ).

Hey, Corin and Duncan - have you got your smiling faces in Sprint this month... in the header pic above the regional reports?

Well spotted Garry. Who'd have thought that eh - the "leader" of the infamous splinter group having full shot in the Club magazine.

Everyone knows who you are now Corin - no hiding! PS He's the one without the cap

I'm going back to Sussex, so I don't really want to go further west, even to see you good people

I've forgotten the local geography, so Chimburt, are you driving anywhere near Honiton (I'm staying in Sidmouth, but will be going back that way)

All you other chaps, don't think I'll be able to make it, have a nice run

Yep that'll be me in Sprint , next to Duncan if we are naming and shaming ! I'm gonna throw a real spanner in the works now , (why break the habit of a lifetime !!) but on Sunday there is a 'point to point' at Buckfastleigh next to the A38 if the meet is duff then we can always take a rip up there for a pint and a flutter , starts at 1pm , seven races over the afternoon , what do you think ?

Message to revolutionary council. The car park to Endsleigh Garden Centre is fenced off.The new car park is at the rear Take the Ivybridge turn off and follow the signs. If you go past the turn off doing Mach 2 park in the lay by,off the Devon Expressway a couple of miles down the road and we will meet you there.

Will be interesting to see how many will turn up at The Halfway House, we might take the place over.

Looking forward to meeting the council on Sunday.

Speaking for myself, using words like "blast" etc. is just a more fun way of saying "drive". It doesn't mean white knuckles gripping the steering wheel and driving in an irresponsible way. Being in a convoy of TVRs is as much about the sound as anything else - the Exmoor run last year with two SEAC's was amazing. With that amount of noise "blast" seems entirely appropriate

I can't attend this time unfortunately but I hope everyone enjoys the day. Looks like the weather will be ideal.

John's quite right of course, real blasting is for the track. I've posted on the Track Day forum www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=32240&f=18&h=0 re Castle Coombe and Oulton Park. Would be great if we could go as a group.

Don't think I can make it on Sunday but circumstances do change!

Why on earth do people start getting all upitty about terms like 'bash' and 'thrash' and judge us as irresponsible drivers if we use such words. Like most of us I love to drive the car with spirit AND responsibility. Just because I call my car 'the beast' it doesn't mean I treat it like one! In future it seems that we have to be careful not to offend some people.

Keep up the good work ('splinter group' and 'official) and enjoy your taking out your cars for a blast.
