Anyone planning to phone in for the ferrari from Dream Machines on Channel 5?

Looks like a beauty. I didn't realise so much went into a restoration. Especially concerning the paint job.

I wouldn't mind that for a first car. That said the bills would be nasty. 600 quid for a head gasket

Dunno what my luck would be like. I won a mountain bike once. Not a cheapcrap one either a proper bona fida 2 grand full suspension effort. Maybe I'm just a sucker for competitions but who knows.

If you're not in it, you can't win it.

Lottery excepted - you'll never win that.

I phoned. I've never won anything except a bottle of Gin in a raffle, and even that was subject to an stewards enquiry afterwards. So I don't hold out much hope.

As the wise man above said "in it to win it"...

Does anyone know when the Aston V8 episode is on???

IMO, I'd much rather have an Aston then the Ferrari. (But then, I have been in the owners club since I was 14)

And I thought I was the only person in the UK watching that program! Oh well carry on saving.

Did anyone phone twice to give both answers?

This car would be well worth having, since they sunk £45K into the restoration. This is more than the resale value of the car, so you won't get too many of these coming along. I ballsed up the number and got through to some sort of dating line. Anyone have that number handy?

09069 122 602, from Channel 5's website.

I entered, as did the missus. The girl presenting was pretty nice too, and she races cars.

I met the presenter Amanda Stretton last year at the GP, she was about 5 months pregnant - so unfortunately for you two she's taken! I believe shes married to the Historic GP racer and organiser of the TGP series "Malcolm" (I think) Stretton

I tried a couple of times after the show but it was engaged. So I rang a young lady I met on Friday night, after chatting to the lovely young lady for half an hour I completely forgot to ring again for the Ferrari.

Thanks for reminding me

One of the lads here phoned from a payphone (didn't want to get in trouble using the work one!)... cost him £1.70... was just about to give the answer and... yep, it went dead...

Oh, how we laughed...
