5 Months In

Well after 5 months and 6k of the most enjoyable drving I have ever had(not all in one go)I cannot praise my little 2.5 enough, what a machine.Still blows my mind ever time I venture out. Still grinning like a demented Cheshire Cat from the minute I turn the engine on till I reluctantly turn her off. I even still have to have a backwards glance when I walk away, sad or what.!!!.At last a way to make a slightly overweight old'ish guy feel popular again
Bracing myself now for the upcoming 18k service...

I have a question regarding the only minor problem I have encountered so far.
Front Lights: When coming off throttle or when braking the lights will dim quite badly for a few seconds before returning to normal...

Any pointers as to where to look 1st.

Serpentine belt tension? Low tension can lead to slippage at alternator pulley, especially during transients.

Does it drop revs below normal idle as well as dim when you brake ?

Cant say I've noticed any drop off in revs when braking, but every now and again she does seem to idle low, with or without the lights on, usual after a short run everything goes back to normal??

Do you know which ECU you have ?
If you notice it dipping low when returning to idle when you drop the clutch it is a tell tale of the MM ecu failing. If it's that, the revs will dip lower and lower until it starts to stall.
