I think I have a good idea that might really help with pillion comfort. I don't want to make it myself as I would like it to be safe and strong. On the other side I don't want to invest a load of time and money just making one.

What I'd really like is to give the idea to someone else in exchange for the finished product.

Any engineering types up for a challenge?

It's not a special pillion strap-on that relieves long distance boredom.

Maybe Ann Summers!!

On a serious note, whereabouts in the country are you. I work in specialist manufacturing and I could put you in touch with some of our suppliers that are more than capable of one off's. I presume that you have dimensioned drawings etc.??

I live in the hungerford area. But I do not have diementioned drawings. But it is a simple idea and could be easily adapted from an original.

Ideally you need to get your idea put down on paper, some drawings concept idea, users, materials etc. A 3D computer model maybe using Autodesk Inventor or Pro Engineer. Then maybe try and get a real model produced, find a University that is into rapid prototyping and has a 3D printer. All you need is the 3D computer model. Probably cost a couple of hundred pounds for each model.

If you can get all this done then start looking at approching appropriate companies.

Thanks for that.

But I am being extremely lazy, I am also a gemeni which means that if I start something I will get halfway through and never finish. I have always been an ideas man, not an executer of ideas.

Might have to tap up the father-in-law as he has a workshop, but he is always being asked to do stuff, so I don't like to ask.

My guess is it's a haemmorhoid cushion and some double-sided sticky tape

Based on the limited information you've given, I'm prepared to risk £10 on this.

PM me your address and I'll send the funds in return for the IPR.

See you in Monaco.
