Had just got onto the A12 last night, following a Dayona, and found myself speeding. Actually, by quite a lot.....almost banning material I guess. Anyways, I'm filtering away being rather observant and concentrating hard. Then all of a sudden looms this huge white bike which fills up my mirrors. "SH!T". I move over and Biker BIB pulls up along side, tells me to slow down, moves on to the Daytona, does the same then rides off. Later, I see him tap on a motorists window and tell him to put his belt on.
What a guy. Happily going about his business cleaning up as he went.
Just like to say a huge thanks for being so "kind" and not relieving me of my licence, and a few quid.

Cheers.

Good for him! You going to slow down a bit, Chilli? be a shame to loose you licence on a work day!
(It would be a shame on a Sunday morning hoon, but at least it would be fun up, to the bit where you get nicked)

Absolutely, you know what it's like though.....Glorious weather, nice Daytona to follow, light(ish) traffic......

I've come across Biker BIBs a few times on my commute down the A12 of a morning. Immaculate and considerate riding all round while making progress. Except for the gap that was too narrow for them to filter, so they let me past.

'almost banning material'? I think I need to slow down. I spend most of my rides at 'definately banning material' and some of it at 'possibly prison material'. paperbag

I had a positive experience too with a biker BIB for doing ahem a lot over the speed limit in the limehouse link tunnel pre-cameras.
I got a stern talking to and an offer of a fixed penalty (3pts then only £40 fine) instead of what should have been an automatic trip to court for banning.

I got cracked a earlier in the year along the A12. Pulled over and ask if I wanted to have 3 pints and £60 fine or stand there and listen to him rank for ten minutes. Guess which option I took!!

Had some valid points, slow down for camera but never mine the the big white bike stting behind me i.e. more respect for the fecking camera than him, give bikers a bad name by taking off from the lights like a looney etc etc.

Good man. I do like the bike police - they seem to be a lot more common sense based than other BiB.

I remember riding home from work one day when the car in front indicated left and pulled into the bus lane. Then immediately turned hard right to try and bust a U, still indicating left. By this time I was almost parallel and had to emergency stop to avoid crashing.

I started ranting at the guy who simply stuck his fingers up and wheelspan off.....right into the path of a BiB biker who'd blocked the road with his bike. He'd seen it coming and had done it to bollock the guy for the U turn I think. He just nodded and smiled at me as he waved them to the side of the road. I was grinning from ear to ear after that.

With the bad press the BiB often get, it's nice to hear that they are reasonable guys too.
