My alarm will not turn on.

The battery got low enough to ensure the alarm wouldn't turn off and I couldn't get into the car (used the secret method to get in) and all hell breaks loose. ears

Managed to get the charger onto the car battery and the alarm switched off with the key fob but now the alarm will not turn back on.

It there a reset switch for the standard TVR alarms or is it time to replace it?

Thanks again for your help guys and girls.

(without this site I would have given up ages ago) bow

Yep - once discharged, the immobiliser gets all upset, you can't lock the damn thing, every time you drive it the hazards flash etc.....

With recharging, the voltage builds up slowly and doesn't reset the burgly bits. To reset, undo earth wire on battery, leave off for 15 secs or so, re-attach with fob in hand ready for alarmy type noises. Press the blipper and you're away....

If that doesn't work - Oh dear I'm all out - could give Carl Baker "alarm guru" a bell - his site is on here somewhere www.tvruk.something.
