I had a 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo with £30000 worth of engine upgrades. Absolutely terrifying accelaration (550+ BHP) from a single hybrid turbo which spooled like pulling back a large elastic band and then letting go. I scared some of passengers to tears who just wanted to get out of the car. It makes my Diablo feel like a Ford Escort Diesel in comparison

Hi, i was just wondering what you would consider to be the fastest feeling car? as in acceleration and g-force. Most of my mates say the Lamborghini Murci, what do u think?
Cheers
Cheers
Not really, due to the smooth long power delivery of the v12
Fastest feeling car i've driven is a 600bhp 996 turbo, that car would get me into serious trouble with the bib

You're not wrong Jon. Lambo V12's are not violent but relentless. A heavily modded 911 Turbo can tear the tarmac off the road though.
P.S. An advert that just popped up has jogged my memory. I have heard under very good authority that Amari's blue 1999 Roadster is a crash repair job. Not to be confused with his black Roadster 6.0 hybrid which was also a crash repair job.

heavily modified 996 Turbos dont *feel* fast though... they are, undoubtedly (been at 204mph in a RUF turbo R/ 179 in a 996 X50) - but they dont feel it. Equally, the Noble didnt feel that quick until Joust threw it into a corner, in the wet, at a rate that would defy physics... and it did!! Not in a straight line though.
Not yet had the pleasure of a Diablo/Murci experience.

So much depends on the environment.
On a country lane a Lotus Exige S can feel apocalyptically quick whereas on, say, Silverstone the sheer size robs yopu of that impression of speed.
My vote would go to the Vauxhall VX220 Turbo Sprint development car. That thing was seriously punchy and had the loudest blow off valve I've ever heard.

I'm with Elms, often smaller cars feel faster even if they're not - I can tell you that my Cerb felt WAY faster at 170-180 than any Ferrari or Lambo.... a Caterham even more so..
Mind you, Anjums old Diablo (not the 6.0) was a real beast, and when that was floored up a slip road (even though it never exceeded 70...) it felt like you were in a jet fighter ... even though it was clearly inferior to the Black 6.0 I still prefered the older one, a much more extreme experience .... wow!

The question was 'feel' fast right?
Hmmmm.......am I allowed to say Smart Roadster on PH?? On a seriously undulating twisty road with the roof down, you feel like Colin McRae but are going like Julian Clary!!
The ultima also feels quick - but that's because it is!!
Lucky
PS Sold the Roadster, incase you are concerned

Porsche 964 Turbo S lwt.
Sounded magnificant, an utterly banzai motor. The only car that has ever terrified me. The lasting impression of that car is it accelerating so fast & so hard, I was changing gears so fast, not as part of driving but purely as a means of stopping the engine frying itself and blowing apart! By the time I remember gathering myself back together again after that onslaught, thinking I had everything under control again and bothering to look at the speedo, we were doing 120mph!
The Sagaris is just as fast, an 8 second 100mph car, and the acceleration in that from 3k rpm onwards in 2nd and 3rd gear is just plain violent, but it has never terrified the living f**k out of me like that 911 did. I walked away from buying it for my own sanity, safety, driving licence and freedom of not being a jailbird...I regret not buying it everyday of my life.

Had a quick blast in a mates heavily modded Atom - pushing out about 380-400! Now THAT felt fast...up to the point where aerodynamics came into play.
Lambo's are indeed relentless - to me they feel, in relative terms, quicker in the 140-200 area, in that they seem to be in the "zone" at this speed and demolish other quick cars.
