What Sports Exhaust Should go for?

I have a totally standard 97 4.2 that sounds very nice running with a nearly new genuine TVR back box, It pops and bangs nicely but I want the V8 orchestra to be a little louder. (Am I the only Cerb owner who has never turned on the stereo). Can anyone give me advice on what make of sports exhaust to go for?? (leaving the cats in for now)

My car has been decated and when i fitted a sports exhaust it lost some power, but I have left them on because the noise is awesome, I never use the stereo and it has to rain for the windows to go up

I have the Tiger S/S sports exhaust with de-cat, (Came from an exhaust manfacturer in Devon) I didn't notice any loss in power but a huge difference in noise from standard back box.

When it's MOT time i put the cats back on and although it's a little less noisey the sound seems deeper, but when decated again I notice it seems free'er and more high pitched!

IMO the ACT manifold is biz for a 4.2. Sports silencers usually are too small and create more back pressure so REDUCE power. The standard unit has a lot of volume hence less back pressure. Remove your cats - any good exhaust specialist will do it for you. 'Popping and banging' may sound nice but it means your engine is running below Max Brake Torque -ie too weak. Ideally get an Emerald ECU mapped just for your motor.

Spoke to Mat the other day, it is still happening, though there it is going to be everything except the front manifolds(which may be coming along soon).
PS. getting my car back today with it's new black pearl speed twelve wheels, oh yeah...
