don't believe so, I think the story goes that JK's mate crashed the car on Park Lane before the shoot and Sony bought another, so the one in the vid is the replacement car

Hello Jon,

Pretty sure the Diablo crashed on Park Lane was something to do with a Top Gear road tester - it wasn't JK's car as far as I am aware.

I remember hearing at the time that the video shoot was taking place overseas (spain I think) and JK had said NO ONE drives the cars before he arrives. Someone smashed up the Diablo on set, fooling around. A replacement was sourced in the UK and shipped out immediately.

Interestingly, Lambo had to remove the windscreen to shoot a lot of the closeups - look carefully, and in the vid, you can see JK and passengers hair blowing around...but the side windows are up!

There was more than one Celebration SE came into the country at that time officially, and maybe a couple more unofficially.
We sold to one Gent who wrote it off in the first week: aquaplaned off the m way. He replaced it immediately, then went a bought an SV to do that SV racer series in. JK gave up one of the earliest 550 Maranellos for the SE. We took him to Brands with our demo SE and stood the thing on it's ear for three laps - so he got the full works, ownership became a must.

JK's car was crashed on the Kings road in Chelsea.The friend was not supposed to be using it and lost control and drove over some concrete bollards hence the amount of damage to the car.
