Hi,

When arming my alarm the indicators flash twice slowly and start flashing fast. After this I don't think they stop flashing, I've never left it that long.
Anybody now what this means ?
Only started doing this since being left in the rain all day yesterday so I guess water somewhere, but where ?

This has to be the worst tvr I've ever owned, it's had more problems and been on the back of more RAC trucks than all my other TVRs over the past 20 years. Seriously thinking that my next car will be anything but a tvr

Thanks
Paul

Thanks andy11, I knew I'd seen something about water getting where it shouldn't.
Had a look in the passenger footwell but apart from the removable panel at the back the rest of the carpet is well stuck down.
I assume I pull the carpet up and clue it back later.
I wonder why they didn't put a removable panel like on the drivers side.

Thanks

Paul,
I had a weird alarm problem with the same cause. So, looking down the footwell, bottom left, I turned the alarm module 90 degrees so that the wiring points towards me, and coated the lot in WD. Packed all back into the slot provided. No problems since.
It only takes a few drips to track down the wires and short a couple of pins to give odd problems.
Surely by the time you've sorted all your glitches you'll (a) have a reliable car, (b) know how to fix yours and others in future...? Trying to look on the bright side...

justyr,

Thanks for your comments. I'll make sure the wiring is well sealed and rotated like you say.
Car is still under warranty so back at the dealer at the moment but I passed on your comments to them.

Normally I'd agree with you about ending up with a reliable car but it just seems I've had so much trouble with this one that it's driving me mad. It's a shame that 20+ years of having TVRs as my only car is spoilt by this. Hopefully I'll get it back and have no further trouble.
