3200GT Oil & Consumption?

Hi All,

What is the recommended Oil for the 3200GT (My car didn't come with an owners manual).
Also, how often does it need to topped up? I'm approx 1000 miles after my 31,000mile service and it's asking for Oil?

Selenia 10w60. See ebay; £20 for 2 ltr or you can use (as suggested by other Maserati owners) Castrol RS 10w60 £15 for 2 ltr.

YOu can get Selenia from Alfa main dealers. About £45 for 5 litres

How much is it "asking for"?

Mine uses around one litre per thousand or so miles and I`ve read this is quite normal (ref:- Enricos Maserati site.) This has always struck me as quite a lot and my 3200 has just clocked 80,000 miles so that may have a bearing. I use the Selena Racing and get it locally from a Fiat / Alfa dealer - loads cheaper!
