Rich Dad, Poor Dad is a fantastic book IMO - a must read for anyone with ambition and drive for success. Easy book to digest and engrossing (read it in half a day), but do bear in mind it's not a get-rich-quick book at all, I found it to be more a biography with sound financial advice chucked in at relevant moments. Changed my outlook on financial matters and life in general for that matter.
The subsequent books in the series (Cashflow Quadrant, Guide to Investing, Prophecy) are ok but are really just an extension of the original IMO. Can't comment on the audiotapes as I'm hard-of-hearing but I guess these would be pretty much the same.

book is a really good read.
base message- make money work for you, not the other way round.
Some of the advice is a little simplistic though- ie play the stock market and make loads of money, or buy repossesed houses under market rates and sell them on for a profit- it's not quite as easy as he makes it sound.

It's an ok book... most of it is common sense but if as long as when you've finished you know the key points then its worth reading.
The author is allegedly a bit of a loser in real life and is crap with money! Probably an internet rumour mind.
So... "Appreciating assets are good... Depreciating assets are baaaad"
