GTA Vice City Stories
Discussion
I have very few rules that I live by, but one of the key ones is this:
THERE WILL BE NO PHIL COLLINS IN MY HOUSE!
Shame, this will be the first GTA iteration since the London add-on that I haven't bought, but I cannot break the rule. Not even for GTA.

Love the GTA series, but it's on portable So it rules me out.
Music is good too, as with Vice City.. what's with Phil Collins?
Dave,
Phil Collins rocks.
If it sounded like I was disputing that you need your BMW-filled head looking at
O/T How long have you had it for now! Things still going smoothly?

Loving it
I'm secretly hoping that my online driving may improve from driving a 'real' car now, but I doubt it

I'm playing it on PS2.....
My view so far -
- Slightly harder to drive than GTA-SA - which will only make me a better driver.
- Cops and enemies are harder - you will die quicker - Which will only make me stronger.
- Music variety is great - Drum and Bass radio, Hiphop, Classical, House (Josh Wink really hypes you up for a driving mission!!), spoken word, Reggae and world music. - Which will only make me play for longer!!
Overall great game - worth buying if you have played all the other recent GTA games. If not get San Andreas

how come? I thought it was psp only or are you a games designer ? I thought R/S said they wouldnt port it this time
G
I am far from a games designer!!!
They released it on PS2 - PLAY.COM
Budget though - only £15..........
Although This has got me interested - Playing GTA with all three maps together (Liberty, Vice and San Andreas) and another 200 missions...... (I think its for PC though - not sure - not designer - )
Wait and see I suppose

Think you're getting Vice City stories and Liberty City stories a bit muddled up.
Well, I've got it, seems good - some slight alterations to the map, you can swim (no more dying getting out of boats for this chunky thumbed player ) and it seems that you can fly later on too.
It's got a good start, and plays just like GTA.
Not sure on the modifications to the engine - the radio cuts out a bit when you drive around and it loads sub-areas in, and the level of detail gradually fills in if you drive really fast through the sub areas - in fact somethings are invisible, so you have to know they are there or you can wollop into them at full speed on a bike and pretty much kill yourself But it does seem to load up sub-missions whilst you carry on playing (it flicks to a 'loading' screen then carrys on, then starts the mission).
I'll have to see how many hours I play it...

been playing it for a few days, there are problems with it, eg the quad bike mission is very very hit and miss, you seem to have no control over the bike at all.
Collision detection on scenery is PANTS in the hotel by the car lot, try going into the bar by the pool, you'll get stuck and have to re-load.
The screen refresh isn't the best, drive fast and a wall will suddenly appear in front of you.
There is a bug when saving your game, it wont save the contents of your garage.
It doesn't have the wow factor LCS had on the PSP, to me it seems a bit rushed out.
Loading times are terrible!!! the cut seens are long and mostly pointless.
The radio does stop when other stuff is loading.
If you don't like Phil Collins then try another radio station
Its probably the best game on the PSP but if you havn't finished LCS then I wouldn't bother getting it.
(all this is from the US version of the game, dont know if the garage bug is in other versions)

Dang, blast and poot!
It seems that it's on mine too :-(
Problem is, I haven't even loaded up a saved game, and the car was gone. I mangaged to find a cheeta quite early on, whacked it in the garage as soon as I had one, then boom! It's gone
Oh well, I'm sure I'll find more later.
The delay in loading objects is starting to bug me :grr: You can crash into something that's invisible then you see the damn thing loading into view...
