987 i mean!!!!


Just drove my mates back to mine as he didn't want to leave it at work. What have they done to the exhaust, they sound so much better then the old 986. I think its about 240 bhp but it feels a lot slower than 60 bhp less than my 996 confused

Nice car though but I will stick with mine I think

what do you expect big difference in price, i own a 986 boxster and my oldmans got a 987 agree with difference in sound!! but 911 is another level again for performance..

I had a 986 2.7 boxster and it was great. geared nicely and had a great sound.

obviously the 996 was a huge step up but i always remember the 986 with fondness.

when my 996 was in for servicing a couple of months ago i was given a 987 2.7 tip as a cc.

bloody hell it was crap, suggish and completely devoid of any personality

no doubt the 996 has taken my expectations to another level, however the tip gearbox in the boxster really did seem to blunt its performance
