Thought i knew the answer to this problem but alas i was wrong!
Wipers would not park properley so i bought a switch of ebay £6.50 for a black cab.
Fitted it and the wipers still would not park.
As i had the bonnet up i watched the wipers working and noticed the motor moves at the end of the sweep if i stop the wipers and push them to the bottom of the screen the motor moves about half a inch.
I have temporaly fixed the problem by jamming a packer between the motor and the wing.
Wipers now park and motor solid.
Has this happened to anyone else as i am not totaly happy as to how i have fixed this.
Any thoughts anyone?

The parking and intermittant would be the relay in the passenger footwell. Replace and this should fix it.

Nick p on my chim that was the park switch that was at fault, causing same problem as yours,V8 animal you should have a rubber shoe that the motor sits on,or should have that poss why yours is on the move maybe.

It has the rubber shoe and the bracket that goes over it and tightened down as much as i dare.
I assume there must be some movement for the rubber to be there in the first place.
My wipers work correctly at all speeds.
It seems maybe the connecting bars are too long are they adjustable?
Thanks

your cable mechanism may need lubing, you should see the motor move a fraction when there on,but thats all maybe its trying to overcome resistance in the mechanism or the mounting rubbers are shot.not sure maybe someone else can help you with this one.

Demon Wipers evil

I had a bit of an issue yesterday (Sunday) on the way to do my second stint on the TVR stand.

My wipers had it in their mind that they were going to work even though there wasn't a rain cloud in sight, or stop for that matter!

They stopped obviously when I filled up at the petrol station and started again about 100ms from the NEC? confused

When I fired my Chim up at the end of the day, they we're still merrierly doing their thing furious only to find when I was 2 mins from home they stopped smash

Admittedly, when Richard got home (after a 12hr shift - oophs) eek

After a bit of fiddlin and good 'ole WD40, fingers crossed it was ok scratchchin
