Folks,
apparently there is a cable available that plugs into the Anderson connector under the passenger floor area which you can then connect a trickle charger to. Thinking about winter maintenance/storage y'see.
Any ideas where I can mail order one and how much?
Advice appreciated,
J

Speak to Leven - very helpful folks.

See here...

Why not just use the cigarette lighter adaptor and save yourself a lot of crawling on the floor......?
The Andersen connector can be used, but I've always seen it as a heavy current / jump start thing.

I was thinking of doing this, but Austec advised me not a good idea to run through the cig lighter - can't remember why.

I belive it's because the polarity on the cigerette lighter socket is often reversed on TVR's! I have always used the Anderson socket to connect the Accumate.

But if it works then it works. Try it - you'll only blow the fuse at worst. Nobody on here has reported reversed wiring on a Tamora/T350/Sagaris ciggy socket that I know of. I've used an Accumate for years on 2 TVRs.

Reverse polarity should not be a problem.

My trickle charger has an LED that lights up if you connect it the wrong way round.

Once left it like that for a week by mistake and all was well.

Anyway, Tams ciggie lighters are wired up the normal way.

When not in use, my T350 is always connected to the Accumate via the cigarette lighter socket. I've not had any issues.

I looked into this after messing about when my Main fuse blew (lots of electrical fun and games!)

I think the best option was mt motorsports Anderson jump set....perfect for jump-start but also for connecting to trickle chargers.

Take a look. www.mtmotorsport.co.uk/images/2005%20Catalogue%20v1%20.pdf

Cheers
