Right, bear with me as I'm new to this malarky. Just looked at 'APACHES' profile and noticed that his car colour is apache something or other. Trick. From BALLISTIC BANANA's notes I suspect that his car is yellow [am I right?] also trick. I called myself, er, ahem, Macdeb. Nothing to do with car at all but trying to involve the other 'arf. Very Sad, not trick at all. Just wondered how others came by their names, MRS FISH, now that's got me thinking.

You called...

R&J = Rich & Jane, nothing wrong or sad with involving the "other 'arf" as we both enjoy our Tivvy.

Psychobert - I'm a psychologist and the bert bit is loosely Dilbert related, (or possible Dogbert).. Would have just been psycho but felt that a bit too much..

I'm called Rich, and I live in the UK.

I first used it when thinking up a Napster username, some cheeky scamp beat me to 'Rich'

Banjolucknicker - sounds strange, and it is. But it's an anagram of my name - Julian Brecknock

Been a few threads on this before... Podie was a nickname given to me at Uni by my girlfriend.

To cut a long story short, I left a message on the door of a mate of mine and signed it underneath... and after a while someone told him that "Pod" (my name is Paul, but my handwriting is shocking) had left a message... and so I became Podie.

Podie: Pronouonced "Pod"-"ie" and not "Po"-"die"...

....beacuse my name is William Ball.

Always thought the idea of thinking up a nickname [handle] was too much like CB radio - rubber duck, plastic chicken etc.

Other problem with nicknames is you meet folks in real life [track days etc] and you haven't for a clue who they are.

I was always being asked, so I put the explanation in my profile

Have thought about changing it to Canadian Birrd (hoping that would be obvious enough...) but I like RiverGirrl, so that stays for now

I refered to my daughter as a Monkey for throwing water over me whilst she was having a bath. After watching me get soaked repeatedly by wife proclaimed I must be a MonkeyJunky as I repeatedly came back for more. At the time I was trying to come up with a PH name and thought that'll do.
