but in the cause of thinking of dashboard leds and rear afterburners I am also thinking of the front end- I do not fancy so much the tuscan style lamps because I think the distort the classic design too much and are also acc. to others not really an improvement in the light quality. Just fitting Xenon bulbs would improve the light as have my 100 W bulbs but would leave the somewhat old fashioned mercedes taxi like headlamps

Now I saw those

Note the one in the right corner which is a bi xenon lamp that they currently fit in the 911 997 series. I think this lamp blends in well with the porkers, takes them in the 21st century without rouining their classic style- it should be proper light as well. As the ground design is not to different from the cerb lamps I wonder if the same option would apply here and we would have a post modern cerbera without too much body mods (I think this lamps could be blended in with relatuívely minor work...)

i kind of agree .. i have tuscan style and love them .. but are done to death .. like spyders ... so if your going to do something why not be original !!

My god what are you thinking of man!You can keep your old lights and install xenons in to them.In fact on the last tunnel run EJD2H had them installed in his chim,and they were the brightest xenons ive ever seen on a car.

What I meant was that although the XENON conversions bring good light but do NOT change the rather old fashioned looking light reflectors (@ least not to my knowledge); the Porsche type headlights (these are the new ones not the runny egg ones) would bring a clear glass optik which I call postmodern in a sense that if the originals are classic looking. the tuscan ones modern then these (IMO the CERBERA design looks not a bit dated still fresh- only some of the parts look a bit dated - lights)- if you do a front and rear light conversion you could put the car on ahow and you get orders in (well TVR in its state probably not...)

Keep it original ! The Cerb will be a classic one day (well it already is really), so look ahead to the future. Think about a car like the Jag e-type - which would be held in the higher esteem and value? One with the original lights, or one that years ago, because someone at the time they didnt like the original round ones, they grafted on the lights from a Ford Granada? - which is the equivalent of what you are saying

Hmm!
I see a familiar pattern occuring here....Guys we need to show a little caution here,
Cerbera...Already a British legend, a truely awesome piece of kit, designed by Brits, for Brits (as no-one else is daft enough to buy one...let alone actualy allow them loose on public roads)
Then along comes Ollie, from 'over there' the country of Industrial Assymilation....the 'Borg'....and he suggests soiling it's beauty with 'Porker' parts
Now...call me naive, but hasn't this happened before

ok....granted all the above are now more reliable, cost effective to run, more efficent in nearly every and dare I say even.'trendy' AND the companies whom make these products are actually run as propper businesses, with decent customer services, and .....wait for it....make money!
Surely this can't be good for TVR, neither the company or it's devoted owners could cope with such shinnanigins as 'making a profit'.

Seriously though Ollie, I have seen another standard Cerb with a Xenon conversion, it was incredible, However it's your car mate and you do with it as you want. If it works for you...that's all that matters, don't bow to peer pressure and fear of ridicule.

go for it mate..if it doesn't look right you can always change it again.... as said earlier I'm sure some helpful soul will, have a play with photoshop for you

I reckon it's going to be very hard getting the true 3D effect in photoshop...the lights at the front will need to be photographed from the front, side, three-quater angle...

I'd like to see it though - always wanted 'better quality' (not necessarily German :-s) lights...

Not being nationalistic folks- I'll be open for any modern (Ie clear glass gas discharge) and better headlights- the reason why I came on with the porker type lamps is because the car is of a similar design (No comparison I just mean 2 single head unit style lamps in a classic sports car shape) and perfomance- the lamps are German I'm afraid by bosch- as are the afterburners which are made by Hella. I will ransack a friends porker with a tape measure and digital camera but agree on photoshop problems stated by oily. As I stated previously I am not a computer whizz but my trials so far looked CRP...
I will keep you posted

btw- I bought the Cerby for her BRITISHNESS- which is for me (as a foreigner) associated with various aspects- one of them is INDIVIDUALITY - so thanks for the supportive posts...

Maybe a bit pedantic but the light at the top right is actually from a volkswagen beetle by the looks of it.
