Mine are the same on my M12, Whenever my girlfriend gets in the car now she nows to adjust her side up and in. I've just learnt to live with it.
I know that rovers are not great cars but I can't imagine that every 200 owner would settle for this!!! Are they fitted to the doors or body on those??

You could try dabbing a blob of silicon between the mirror glass and the inner shell (nearest to the door) - but then it can't be moved!
Or you could replace them with a different mirror eg Noblemods.
Tried them today and, sorry to say, but the mirror glass is optically imperfect - specifically the field of vision is 'warped', it was almost as if thw 'glass' was plastic.
IMHO as always!
Very nicely designed units though!

Rats that was one of my planned changes

Try them for yourself Peter, you may get on with them.
Me, I like a large field of vision and these are teeny (possibly off of a motorsikkle?!).
I'll take that advice
I quite like a large area myself so was going to need to check them out anyhow to see if they were big enough. Shame those supplied move so much but hey ho just have to look forwards more!

Just to clear up a few things. If there is any optical imperfection from my mirror units then it's the first I have heard of it. Over a dozen units supplied and nothing but compliments.
Rest assured if the mirror (which is mirrored perspex) became distorted your local glass cutters could supply glass cut to shape for only a few ££'s - I used to have this done for some Porsche aftermarket mirrors, very easy. I always look after my customers and if there are any problems I am known to go out of my way to help. (Not often required though!)
They are also entirely my own design and not off a motorcycle.(Been there, tried that) Many other sports cars have small mirrors and none with Noblemods mirrors have returned to using the Rover ones, complaining of field of vision problems.
The US owners fix does indeed work very well - even if it doesn't fix the fact you still have Rover door mirrors on your car (it matters to some of us!)
