Fuel pressure????

Demon Tweaks et al do mechanical guages, but these aren't really suitable for mounting in the car as you have to have a pressurised fuel line coming in through the bulkhead. Electrical guages are available but much more expensive. For one-off fuel pressure monitoring and adjustment (not on the TVR) I've used a tyre foot pump guage. Unscrewed it from the footpump, and connected it to the fuel line via a length of fuel pipe and 2 jubilees. If you deliberately leave air in the length of fuel line, then the guage is only 'seeing' air and reads the air pressure - which of course is the same as the fuel pressure further down the line. Not recommended for anything other than an occasional quick check however.
I`ve been looking at power boost valves, are these of any benefit to the v8, used one on my old s2 v6 which made quite a difference, but the v8 is a different animal, would appreciate some expert opinions.

If you're thinking of the rising rate fuel pressure regulators, I'd give them a miss if I were you. It will make your engine run a lot richer when you put your foot down, but unless it was running lean previously this will not be an improvement.
