Right go on tell me where i've gone wrong. I'm happy at the results, and i reckon with some photoshopping these could be quite good, but i know very little. This is my first effort i'd like constructive criticism please.

resizing has ruined the lines around the wheel arches please click on the photos to view them full size.

clap Nice work beach!

Can I ask why you needed to fully change the sky? Its not that easy to do is it?

I didn't fully change it, there was another photo on another thread I was before this one.

What I did..

Straighten horizon then crop
Clone out grey cloud
Add Gausian blur to background
Sharpen using unsharp mask
Adjust levels to give shadows more depth
Increase saturation
Overlay blue to clear gradient layer using colour burn

I think that was about it

cropping, centering, rotating and 'one step photo fix' in PSP8 which sharpens and adjusts contrast/colour balance and so on

Well they're nice pictures, but being very critical they're all overexposed, and the foreground while a nice effect is a big distraction from the subject.

/edit - for a bog standard non-SLR camera though, they're good!

sky looks to bright and the huge foreground doesn't do it for me. Don't like the 3 vertical lines in the building above the car on the barm shot, also the tyres are dirty. Think the light was a bit tricky that day by the look of it.

Thanks for your comments guys. As i said i'm pleased with them for a first effort, especially as i used a Ixus 50. I need to practice and learn about composition etc. My Dad has all the latest PS software, that i should get off him and have a play.

those of you that had a play with these for me. Would you mind applying you skills to a full high res file?
