Cool Firefox extensions
Discussion
Just added Foxytunes to Firefox v2 reall good add-on controls music playback on-screen without having WMP playing. All controls, playlist and also built in search to find more by the artist or other related searches.

Others I've just updated are Videodownloader, Adblock Plus, IE Tab.
Any more recommendations?

All in One gestures is fantastic, it's the main reason I don't use IE.
DownThemAll is handy for pages of videos, pictures, pdfs, etc.
CustomizeGoogle is great for getting rid of the spam from Google, plus is lets you know how many hit you'll get before you search for a term (you'll see what I mean if you use it).
I also use Sphere_Gnome big theme as it has the biggest buttons.

Some of my favourite extensions:
Adblock (block adverts in webpages - indispensable)
Add Bookmark Here (allows you to add a bookmark into a folder through the 'Bookmarks' menu - indispenable)
All-in-One Gestures (gesture to perform functions - indispensable)
ColorZilla (allows you to capture the RGB/CMYK/etc. value of any pixel in a webpage)
DownThemAll! (download manager enabling download of multiple images/links by extension and more - indispensable)
FireBug (sophisticated JavaScript error reporting)
ForecastFox (localised weather forecast in the status bar)
FoxyProxy (sophisticated Tor/Vidalia proxy server control by domain including wildcards)
Get Jetable Mail (generate disposable email addresses straight into fields on forms)
IE View ('Open this page in IE' option on right-click menu)
NoScript (control JabaScript execution by domain for improved security - indispensable)
Sage (powerful RSS feed manager)
Scrapbook (capture whatever page you're visiting - indispensable)
ShowIP (shows the IP address of whatever website you're visiting in the status bar)
In my opinion it is the extensions that really make Firefox a superior browser. I have over 40 on my system and Firefox would be a shadow of the software I enjoy every day without them.

What does CustomiseGoogle do then?
When you start typing in a query it gives you options of results with how many hits you'll get with each of them, like this if you type pisto -
Plus it allows you to filter out results, I've got things like Ciao, Dooyoo, etc. removed. You can also remove the ads, but I find them useful sometimes.

Has some nice security touches for the paranoid as well, although I suppose you could use Scroogle for that.
What's the format for the filters, out of interest? I've tried to get them working to remove the same sort of sites (Kelkoo, Dealtime etc) but to no avail.

www.ciao.co.uk/* blocks all the Ciao results, www.dooyoo.co.uk/* blocks all Dooyoo, etc.
It's the same for AdBlock.
I use Opera whch I really like, although I've started occasionally using Firefox as the web developer extensions really come in handy.
Opera has a feature whereby when you shut it down, it remembers all the tabs you had open, so when you open it up again, it loads the tabs (and the associated web pages). Really handy. Is there a Firefox extension to do this?

No need for an extension, it does this 'out of the box'. Load up all the tabs you want as your homepages, Tools > Options > Main > Click the "use current pages" button.

I used to use SessionSaver|https://addons.mozilla.org/search.php?q=session+saver&type=E&app=firefox on Firefox.
Camino Fan now (similar addon available too).
