Paint Peeling on door handle

Has anyone else got a problem with the paint peeling off on the drivers door handle?

It currently looks like THIS (Please ignore swirl marks )

Just wondering if anyone else has got this and what my chances are of claiming under warranty?

i had that with my old one but on both sides and now my new one. had the last one done on warentyas well.

Mine's going too.....

Drive in Bristol said they'd send me a Quicksilver paint stick..... 4 phone calls and 4 months later - still no paint stick.

Mines doing it too - Trip to VX imminent me thinks!!!! Just a thought, but is this just affecting red 'uns????

Probably just shitty water based paint on crappy plastic.

Yep. We had both door handles done under warranty too. Seems a typical fault.

Hmmm - mine looks like that too - I had put it down to the fact that it had been down to previous ownership......not sure how old yours is but as I understand it warranties are less helpful in their third year - not sure where they no longer help though.

seeing some signs of it on my black one but only on the handle that had been fitted with the replacement door last Xmas so can't really claim it under warranty. I seem to recall there was a lot of discussion about this "problem" last year. Maybe a certain batch of cars?

Check the paint laqueur on any sharper edges, especially VXR front bumpers. I've now seen two where the laquere is flaking off the paint. Paint quality seems to be an Achilles heel.
