Smaller no plates

Hi, I am tempted to get a 12" x 3" front number plate to replace my normal one, increase airflow and give a better view of the swoopy air inlets, sad.

Does anyone run one, if so, how do the local law enforcement take it? I don't really want too much additional attention (3" straight through exhausts on a 4.3 pre cat, they know I am coming).

nic i do(look at my profile),ive had no problems even been thru tax checks and driven past traffic law going past junction, they dont appear to bother,i would say that would change if your speeding for example.....or a superbike rider with small plate(dont even go down that road)they hate s/bikes.just my opinion dont blame me if you get stopped.oh your griff will look much nicer at the front too.

I've got what FancyPlates call a 3/4 size plate attached with Velcro so I can swap it for a full size plate at MOT time.
It reduced the temp a bit but every little helps eh
Theres never been a problem with plod and mine iss one of the look-at-me pre cats too

Yup, got the Fancyplates 3/4 size on the front and specified the UK legal font which they just reduced to the proportionate size for the plate. I keep a full size plate in the boot in case I get pulled by BiB ("I'm terribly sorry, officer, I forgot to take the show plate off after this months meet...", but I haven't had any trouble so far. It even passed its MOT in spite of me forgetting to change the plates over for the test!

My A3 failed it's MOT on Incorrect number spacing. 1 number was out by an inch!
After this I changed the Griff ones back to "legal" plates as I don't want to give the bib another excuse to pull me over!!

How it used to look! (I think I was pushing my luck)

3/4 size here too...no trouble from the BiB and it passed the MOT. I keep a full size in the boot just in case....

Resulted in at least 5 degrees reduced temp when running....

I had mine Done a few years back. I went in and the guy done it on his computer. We went smaller with the letters but not by a huge amount so they are readable. It was also made with less white around the edges. Helps with cooling no doubt and also looks so much better as you can see the Mouth better

I have a 15" by 3" front plate and it has made quite a difference to the cooling.
