Does anyone have views or knowledge of the company as it is near my mother in laws and there is a question as to whether it is a good place to buy a TVR? Many thanks.

Been great for servicing for me - never ever had a complaint and always have time for a chat, and talk things through, etc, etc.

Why not pop down there and just get a feel for them yourself.

Well, there must be a dealer nearer to you - why don't you go and visit them?

Do a search in the Chim forum to name one, using Fernhurst or Fernies loads of feedback there.

IMHO Graet bunch of guys, brought both my Chim and Tuscan from them and currently use them for all my work.

Nice drive up there too from Worthing.

Bought our 99 400 Chim from them on the 7th October - lovely people, happy for us to test drive as long as we wanted, and there were 3 of us (me, the wife and the lad)and we were able (almost forced) to take out whichever Chims we wanted - no problem at all, actually spent most of the day there! Dealt with Drew and Simon.

Car's a belter too, not put a foot wrong, we've done 1500 miles in it so far (thank you for unlimited mileage insurance Mannings!!), was superbly prepared and, to my mind, very reasonably priced - cheaper than number of the private sales around.

Coffee was nice too!

I can heartily recommend them to you!

I thought you had a new hot-shot job in The City? Fernies is only half an hour or so from the outskirts of London.

I live on the cambs/norfolk border, so approx 3 hrs for me.
I have recently brought from them, and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them. Top bunch of people.

I had my griff serviced there and bought my Tuscan from them. Found them easy to talk to and very helpfull at all times. It does bother me that they only have 4 TVR's in stock and quite a range of other marques for sale though.... I hope it's not a sign of things to come

They currently have 11 forsale on their website, with only the T350 marked as sold. Have most of these now sold?
I did notice that they had several Landrover/Rangerovers etc for sale in the forecourt when i was down there recently.

I didn't check the 'unprepared' area so my mistake. Even so there are double the number of non-tvrs that I've ever seen before

I'm afraid I must disagree with posts on this thread...

The coffee was awful.

Other than that, top blokes and the only reason I don't get my car serviced/repaired there is because Racing Green is a mile away from home so its easier to drop the car off out of hours.

Apparently the TVR side has been quieter than expected of late so a 'natural' expansion/diversification into (mainly) Range Rover/Discos.

Could not agree more. It is totally indistinguishable from the tea.

That aside, service is exellent. Have sold to, and bought from them and get mine serviced there. Very happy to recommend.

I also noticed a load of Land/Range Rovers parked outside. Strange.......

They did this a couple of years ago too, soon after they stopped being an authorised dealer. If there are not many TVR's about they have to have something to sell - even if it is a Porsche and an MGF!!! yikes

I would also recommend Fernies for the purchase of a good quality car!
I bought my current Cerbera from them and it was in better condition than more recent cars that I also looked at!
They are also very good for servicing as well as any other work needed on the cars.
Very pleasant chaps to deal with, although I agree the coffee could be improved!!!!!
