Today as I was plodding along the M4, there was a South Wales scam van on the bridge - but in a new place i've never seen. From memory it was either between the A4232 Cardiff Airport turnoff and the next junction or just after the next junction (Llantrisant?) as I was heading Westbound (and he was pinging westbound too!)

Never seen one there ever, so just bear it in mind.

If its the one between the airport turn off and Llantrisant then I have seen it there before fairly often over the years. After Llantrisant I tend to see it around the bend over the hill. Catches east bound quite early from the later one.

Ah, i'd never seen them there ever, hence my surprise.

Spent 5-6 years trundling up and down around here all year at various times. I find its the reaction of other motorists that will give the game away but also a bit of innocent braking causes panic. The brake lights appear to mean speed camera ahead now.

Pencoed is a good example of the mad lane change and sharp breaking. I could join the M way at Pencoed and no matter how hard I tried the Sprinter could not break 70 until over the hill east bound. But I could see the camera and I would head for the outside lane ( when all the other traffic heading to one and two and it was safe and necessary) and happily overtake everyone trying to point out the camera to me and trying to slow me down. I was probably doing 60-65.

Hello Tony!!

I've seen that there once or twice lately. Apart from at the bridge, it's the only place I've seen a van looking down on us.
