Dear Richmond council,

Having studied your excellently well researched and hardly emotive at all piece on parking charges I'm a bit confused. My car is 4x4. Well it is sort of. It's 5% 4x4 normally but sometimes if I leave a roundabout enthusiastically in 2rd (or 3rd or 4th depending on if it's been raining) it's 45% 4x4.

Also, it has a 3.6 litre engine. But sometimes the turbos improve the volumetric efficiency by 80% so it displaces 6 litres. Coincidentally this is usually when the 45% 4x4, above, happens too, but that's by the by.

Now it's quite small too as cars go, certainly smaller than most of those lovely safe 100% 4x4s that are causing so many "problems" on our roads.

So, in summary please send me the way I calculate my new parking permit price YOU IDIOTS.

Dear Mr Mono

Thank you for your letter.

You appear to own a sports car, this makes me jealous, therefore your special rate will be one major organ per month.

Yours sincerely

As it's a Porsche it naturally falls into the highest bracket regardless of CO2 emissions.

Dear Sir,

Since you own a car with fat tyres, you car is touching the road more than a car with skinny tyres.
