Hi Paul - I live in the Worcs area and appoached probably some of the same refurbishers you did recently when looking to improve my pre cat Griffith amils but had to go to Bell Hill Garage near Bath for the diamond cut finish I was looking for.

Sadly I have not got their number to hand but they are on Google or one of the other kind soles on this site will duly oblige.

Kind regards

Not any more - I was in MK with a colleague on Tuesday who wanted some bike wheels done, I suggested Pristine as they were down the road from where we were working. Anyway, to cut a long story short they only did 4 painted finishes!

Eddie, I presume the B'ham shop was "lap tab"

I couldn't find an exact match for the old Cerbie 16" wheels, but went for a slightly shinier finish, which I'm quite pleased with.

Yes it was laptab but they dont do the original finish that i prefer.I gather its a fairly specialised job to get done but surely there must be a call for this type of finish preferably birmingham area`ish.Next job i guess is to have a scenic drive through the murky industrial estates of the black country, brum areas but not in the tiv, cheers.

Eddie, Try on the S forum quite a few of the guys on there have had the wheels done to the original diamond cut finish. From what I hear though expect to have to do them every year as this finish doesnt last very long hence why people tend to choose other finishes. I actually moved to the Chim wheels for this very reason and I wanted 16" on the rear.

Cheers

Mike

I had the wheels on my S3 refurbed at A1 wheels in Wolverhampton,I didn't have the original finish because they said they could not guarantee the finish lasting, but they would have done it if I asked them.I think it would have been £100 per wheel.

Probably a bit too far away for you but I had the Oz 8 spoke alloys on my V8S refurbished (diamond cut) by Micheldever tyre services near Winchester, however they do send them away somewhere so it may be worth asking them where. It cost about £50 per wheel. They were unlaquered so I had to ensure that my son regularly polished them with "Peek" metal polish (available from Halfords).
