Discussion
a mentioned in another topic here is my TVR story so far since start of may when i purchased the hog.
steering rack
brake pads
brake fluid
oil pressure sender
water temp ecu
water temp fan switch
one cooling fan
extra coolant expansion tank kit
radiator
thermostat
power steering failed at alford, just main fuse went, drove home.
alternator fuse went at crail, recovered to dreadnought as i thought it was something far worse at the time.
speedo sensor
re-seal all light covers
one cracked wheel
4 tyres
passenger window seal
front passenger side top ball joint
had leaky shockers so upgraded to nitrons!
various bulbs
aswell as other various fitment problems/squeeks and rattles
BUT even all of that does not put me off or spoil my enjoyment of owning/driving the car.
not posting this to scare of possible buyers, i was just unlucky it seems but i do not regret buying it, its a great car!
i have covered 1000 miles in the last 2 weeks with no problems, tomorrow heading to blackpool (from aberdeen) with every confidence in the car, then back down to blackpool next tuesday to have the car serviced, and an outing to knockhill on the 11th. will be a good 1000 more miles over the next 2 weeks and will take the car to over 18,000.
will be getting a runaround for the crap weather and just working on cosmetics of the car over the january february months. wheels powder-coated, roof panels modified for a better fit, under the bonnet get some bits painted and replace some hoses etc. roll on spring
